Biodesign: The Process of Innovating Medical Technologies

Book CoverCambridge University Press published our new textbook, Biodesign the Process of Innovating Medical Technologies on October 1, 2009. The authors come from the core faculty of the Biodesign Program: Paul Yock, Josh Makower, Stefanos Zenios, Todd Brinton, Tom Krummel and Uday Kumar. Lyn Denend, Case Writer at the Graduate School of Business, is the Principal Writer. Christine Kurihara, Manager of Special Projects for Biodesign, is the web editor. A companion website has been released with the book: http://www.ebiodesign.org/.

The textbook contains 29 chapters on each step of the process of innovating medical devices from needs finding and screening to business models and funding. Each chapter also includes a 'Getting Started' section with the basic steps to take at that stage of the process.
